“To provide affordable office space to organizations offering community services”


The Peggy Crosby Community Service Center (Peggy Crosby Center or PCC) is a one-of-a-kind facility. Our 501(c)(3) organization and our building are operated and managed by a Board of Directors along with a dedicated Property Manager.

Our mission and steadfast commitment are to provide well-maintained and comfortable office spaces for non-profit organizations and small start-up businesses. Our tenants provide much needed assistance to those living in our local community and in western North Carolina. We strive to offer and keep the lowest possible rental rates for our tenants so that they can more efficiently and effectively serve others. It is a privilege to support their efforts.

A primary goal is to have rental income be approximately equal to operating expenses. The current rates of $13 per square foot for non-profits and $19 per square foot for start-up businesses are well below anything comparable in our area. We have a few storage areas that rent for $9.50 per square foot. Tenant rental rates cover all utilities with the exception of telephone service. The Board of Peggy Crosby Center attempts to fund all major repairs, capital improvements and renovations from other sources, namely individual donations and grants.

We conscientiously maintain the building’s infrastructure and work tirelessly to preserve the beautiful environment that has been created here.
