"The Counseling Center is so fortunate to be located in the Peggy Crosby Community Service Center. Our space there is made available to our small nonprofit at very affordable rates. This allows us to continue dedicating our limited resources to the Highlands-Cashiers area, offering counseling in this time of anxiety and uncertainty when so many are asking for our services. The Peggy Crosby Center is a terrific asset to our community. For the property and for all of those who contribute to its prosperity, we are thankful."

Al Brady, Board Chair, The Counseling Center

The Peggy Crosby Community Service Center is a rare gem in our Highlands community. Our mission is to provide affordable office space for nonprofit organizations and small businesses offering community services so that they can use their limited resources to more effectively serve their clients and patrons. Rental income from our tenants pays for the day-to-day operations of the facility. Housed in the original Highlands Hospital building, the property has undergone a necessary and complete renovation in the last ten years. All of these improvements, totaling $626,872 since 2010, were made possible by private donations and grants.

The challenges and unprecedented events of the past few years have impacted all of us. We recognize the uncertainty and insecurity such events promote. It is with this sense of awareness that we ask for your support of the Peggy Crosby Center. Our goal is to raise funds to maintain a quality property for our tenants and to protect them from sudden increases in rental rates due to emergency needs. PCC receives no funding from any other source on an ongoing basis - other than tenant rents.

Your investment in the Peggy Crosby Center will allow us to maintain low-cost occupancy rates and continue to maintain and improve our facility to better serve the needs of our tenants and those who they serve in our community.

We are excited to continue our "Peggy's Heroes" fundraising campaign for 2021 with its various levels of giving opportunities.
