On June 23rd, the Spartina 449 store in Highlands sponsored a “Mermaids for a Cause” Event to benefit Peggy Crosby Center.  Supporters, tenants and friends of PCC were invited to the event, that was also open to all visitors who came into the store that day.  Shoppers were treated to wine, cheese and fruit while they perused the beautiful Spartina handbags, accessories, jewelry and clothing.  The event included a raffle of numerous items donated by Spartina and other Highlands merchants.  Spartina 449 offered a discount of 15% on all purchases between 1:00 - 3:00 and donated 10% of these sales to Peggy Crosby.
